Cloudy Saturday Morning Missed the sunny dawning. Pretty much packed Some things in sacks. Made three stops on the way For lunch, candy and the Flying J. Arrived at the Marriott in KCK Hotel and all extremely OK! Ate at the Jumpin' Catfish. Had too many beans. Had to be wary of gases That may be produced in our jeans. Huge crowd at Pistols & Petticoats. Callers were Doug and Jay Krebs. Had a great time in Gladstone Again we were very well fed. We appreciated Renee As she gave up her graduation day. There was a party in her honor And we've grown even more fond of her. Spent some time at Crowne Center Some had food when they entered. I didn't buy any rings or pens But enjoyed the choreographed fountains. |
The Hereford House had great prime rib Plus chicken and other good things. We try not to eat 'till we were peak-ed Because we still had to go toward Topeka. Our Sunday night dance was special Apparent for all to see With Dana, Lynn and Doug We were glad to be at Tecumseh. The after party skits were super The trumpet duet was great We didn't even need a tuba As everything was first rate Mystery trip to Kansas Turned out really well With a pocketful of memories And many things to tell. Let's tuck it in our minds To enjoy again while dreaming And think of all our friends To bring on a lot of beaming! |
