I rose at 5:06 In the year 2006. Tenth year of Big Bus riding With Doug doing excellent guiding. Took all the day before to pack Having not yet caught the knack. Being newly retired two months before Didn't have to work then try to do more. What a wonderful day in May. It really seemed like yesterday Since we went the year before And now we're back for more! We stopped for lunch in Mt. Pleasant. Didn't see any pheasant. I think that bird came to mind Probably to make this thing rhyme. Well, here we are in Des Moines. Arrived with still a few coin. The Embassy Suites has big rooms. I'd like to come again soon. What can you say about Lone Star? The food was way above par. The service was great And that's something to appreciate. The women's bathroom was drawing raves Receiving many accolades. The cowboy pictures on the walls Some people saw and were in awe. |
We danced at the Plaids n' Dads With so much fun to be had. A super hall well lit The whole night was quite a hit. Lunch on Sunday was pork and beef Certainly tasty cuts of meat! Served outside on a beautiful day What more can you expect from May? Had some nice shops to see For souvenirs and some antiques. Bought a few small things And saw some rings. Dinner at the Machine Shed Left everyone certainly well fed. Took pictures after dinner But perhaps not feeling thinner? We rode the bus to dance again One more time to step and spin. What better way to stay in shape And leave fun and laughter in our wake. The talent in the afterparty skits. Again brought out the hits. I think Iowa is the place to be For a Mystery Bus Trip filled with Glee! |
